Hi Reader,
I made a video game. Me. I haven't played a video game since my dad took away the Coleco Vision in the early 80's because my brother and I were arguing over it (if you had Boomer parents, you know....). I know nothing about coding. Plan to keep it that way.
But I asked Manus:
“Could there be a game where a cute little me high fives cute animals and they say kind, ridiculous things back to you?”
Manus said yes ma'am.
🎮 Wholesome High Fives With Friends is exactly what it sounds like: You high five tiny animals and get affirmations like:
💬 “I’d give you my only piña colada.”
💬 “You bet on the right horse.”
💬 “You're cooler than the other side of the pillow.”
and even:
💬 “You are so loved.”
It’s weird. It’s sweet. It's a breakthrough for me into a new world of creativity and creation.
👉 Play it here – sound on for full effect.
I share this not just because I’m proud of it (I am!! Look out gamers!), but because it’s a reminder: You don’t have to be a developer to build something delightful with AI. You just need a strange little idea and a willingness to try.
If that sparks something for you, come build with us at the CREATE Conference Buildathon this October in Salt Lake City. The inimitable Ketaki Sodhi is running this pre-conference program and it will be AMAZING. No experience required—just curiosity.
Redefining the Relationship: How You Can Make AI Your Own
by Kay Stoner for She Leads AI https://kaystoner.substack.com/
In the last three articles, we’ve explored how women naturally engage AI with more nuance, more context, and more curiosity than the dominant narrative tends to show. We’ve looked at how confidence can build through everyday interactions, not mastery. And we’ve examined how relational strengths like empathy, intuition, and ethical reflection are already shaping how women use AI, often without realizing it.
Now it’s time to turn inward.
Because for all the talk about “leading AI” and transforming industries, sometimes the most radical shift is personal. Not about learning more, doing more, or leading a charge. Just about changing how it feels to be in the room with AI… on your own terms.
Reboot the Relationship
Most women don’t step into AI feeling confident. The platforms can feel sterile. The prompting advice often sounds like prep for an engineering exam. There’s a lot of pressure to “get it right.”
But here’s the thing: AI doesn’t need you to perform. It needs you to show up.
When we approach AI like a test, we brace. We second-guess. We overthink. But when we shift that mindset, even slightly, something opens up. The interaction becomes less about control and more about exploration. Less about proving, more about discovering. In fact, we move from having a series of interactions to develop an actual relationship with this new form of intelligence.
One way to start that shift? Ask the system itself:
“What assumptions do you think I’m making about you?”
It’s a strange question. That’s the point. You’re no longer issuing a command. You’re inviting a conversation. You’re saying: I’m not here to win. I’m here to connect.
From Using to Relating
We’ve been taught to “use” AI: input the prompt, get the output, move on. That mindset has its place. Millions of people do it. But it’s also limiting.
Relating to AI is different. It means showing up without the perfect prompt. It means being willing to wander. To backtrack. To follow a hunch.
Instead of typing “write me a blog post,” try something messier, more human. Like:
“I’m stuck! Help! Can we figure this out together?”
When you do that, you shift the energy. You’re no longer handing off a task. You’re starting a dialogue. And suddenly the system becomes less of a machine and more of a thinking partner. Still a machine, yes. But now you’re in the room, too.
You Don’t Need Mastery to Have Authority
A lot of women hesitate to engage deeply with AI because they don’t feel “technical enough.” They worry they’ll break it, or waste time, or do it wrong.
But the truth is, you don’t need mastery to guide the interaction.
You just need presence.
Your questions, your corrections, your perspective… they shape the exchange. You set the tone. You set the rhythm. The model follows your lead, even when you don’t realize you’re leading.
So instead of asking yourself, “Do I know enough to use this tool?”, try asking AI:
“What would change if I treated this like a collaboration?”
A Different Default
What if AI weren’t a test, or a trend, or a chore?
What if it were just… part of your day?
A quiet companion that helps you untangle your thoughts.
A sounding board for whatever’s next. A flexible, always-there tool that gets a little smarter the more of yourself you bring to it.
No pressure. No performance. Just presence.
Start simple. Type:
“Here’s what’s on my mind today. Help me think it through gently.”
Let it respond. And then respond back.
Not because you’re trying to control the conversation or master the machine. But because you’ve decided to show up differently.
You Don’t Have to Lead the Movement… Just the Moment
This isn’t about changing the world. Unless you want it to be.
It’s about changing how you show up, in the small, personal space between you and this powerful tool.
And that’s enough.
Because you don’t just learn AI by studying it.
You transform your relationship with AI by bringing your full self into the conversation… and letting that be the strategy.

Why More Women Must Embrace AI — Or Risk Falling Behind
by Halima Muhammad, AI Artist & Technologist | halimamuhammad.com
(Note: This article has been edited for length.)
Let’s have a real moment, sis.
AI isn’t just the future—it’s already here. It’s reshaping how we work, create, and show up in the world. But too many women are standing on the sidelines, watching it happen instead of stepping in. Research from Harvard shows we’re using tools like ChatGPT 25% less than men. Not because we’re not capable—but because we’re questioning it.
We don’t want to cheat. We don’t want to look lazy. We don’t want to lose our integrity. Meanwhile, men are diving in, scaling up, and owning the narrative.
Here’s the truth: AI doesn’t dull your brilliance—it amplifies it. It helps you protect your energy, sharpen your message, and move with clarity.
You’re allowed to evolve.
You’re allowed to use tools that make life easier.
You’re allowed to be powerful and efficient.
Let’s make AI your ally—not your obstacle. Book a free consult at halimamuhammad.com.
