πŸ“ AI can only use what you make visible to it

Hi Reader,

β€œ
"AI can only use what you make visible to it."

Lauren Irving said that partway into Saturday's Social Saturday, the free weekly gathering from She Leads AI, where she taught women to build a private GitHub repository of their own stories, so any agent can read it before writing a word on their behalf.

Her rule is that you tell the stories and AI records them. The agent she built pushes back if you try to make it write them for you. Some nights, when she cannot sleep, she opens Claude on her phone and tells it another story in voice mode.

If you have ever built a custom GPT or a Claude project, she says, you already know how to do this.

Lauren and Madina will present at the CREATE Conference in October.

Social Saturday is off this weekend and back on the 29th.

Warmly,
Kate

P.S. Here's something for you this week. The Context Kit is a free tool that interviews you and writes ten short files describing how you work. Take them into Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor so you stop explaining yourself every time. Reach for it when you are tired of explaining how you work every time you open a new AI tool. Build, Launch, Scale Lab - Workshop 4
Make Decisions Without Spiraling

For Members of the She Leads AI Society

πŸ—“οΈ Wednesday, August 26 from 11:00am-12:30pm Pacific

Every entrepreneur, creator, and leader faces an endless stream of choices. Which opportunity should I pursue? Should I launch now or wait? Is this the right investment? Is this distraction or direction?

This workshop helps participants move beyond overthinking and toward intentional decision-making. Rather than searching for the "perfect" answer, participants will learn to evaluate opportunities through the lens of their own values, goals, capacity, and desired impact.

Participants will build their own Opportunity Filter - a personal decision-making tool they can return to whenever uncertainty, comparison, or information overload creeps in.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply a lightweight decision model grounded in values, viability, and available evidence.
  • Distinguish between experiments, commitments, and distractions.
  • Build a personalized Opportunity Filter that reflects their priorities, capacity, and goals.
  • Use AI to explore options, identify blind spots, and strengthen decision-making without outsourcing judgment.
  • Identify three immediate decisions they feel prepared to make.

Participants leave with:

  • Their Personal Opportunity Filter
  • An Experiment vs. Commitment Matrix
  • Three current opportunities evaluated using their new framework
  • AI prompts for future decision support

The Build, Launch, Scale Lab is a benefit of membership in She Leads AI. We recommend the full arc β€” the workshops build on one another. And the curriculum is built to be joined as your time allows, with every replay and resource waiting in the learning management system.

πŸ“’ She Leads AI Society Members Making an Impact

Lashona Boyd is a Senior Product Manager at Mitratech in Greater Milwaukee, a LinkedIn Top Voice whose headline reads "Making AI Approachable" and who tags nearly everything she writes #MakeAIApproachable. In July she marked her work as the product manager for the Mitratech ARIES Compliance Agent, which she describes as putting "the ability to have compliance answers into the hands of over 400K users." Her account of the launch is specific, an AI-powered HR compliance tool "scaling from 38% to ~90% answer accuracy over 90 days," with a tiered risk recovery model of her design that reduced the recovery rate to under 5% at launch. She came to product management in 2023 after four years as an instructional designer and a stretch in learning and development. Last summer she built a working MVP of her Strategic AI Architecture methodology "in under 5 hours" and wrote, "I'm not a developer, and I'm not out here adding full-stack to my LinkedIn headline. But I am proud AF that I built something with real end-to-end functionality." Her standing instruction to everyone using AI at work, "AI does not replace the need to read your work before hitting send on that email."

Shannon Winnicki founded Revaya in April 2025 and works as a Fractional AI Officer, building what she calls Business AI OS, "a connected operating system, for founders, consultants, and small teams who are done being the bottleneck in their own business." Behind it are "18 years leading digital strategy at Virgin Mobile, Papa Murphy's, and Intermedia, where I saw exactly how operations break when businesses grow faster than their systems," including a $2M e-commerce overhaul at Virgin Mobile that grew online sales from 3% to 25%. For a Fractional COO in the CPG space whose client list lived on paper, she built a knowledge base first, then a custom CRM on top of it that pulls his call transcripts and daily email into the right contact record. His verdict, "I didn't ask it. It just knew I'd talked about that client the day before, and it gave me a recap and open items." In July she pointed Fable 5 at her practice and found that of 46 agents running 49 skills, 7 met the construction standard she had written. Four waves of fixes later, all of them did. "The model is only ever as good as the operating system sitting underneath it."

Sharon Larry has run a workplace and supplemental benefits practice out of Atlanta since 2003. She puts the method plainly. "My approach is built on transparency, trust, and education. I take the time to explain the intricacies of the benefits world in plain language, so my clients can make informed decisions." Behind that sit thirty-seven years in sales and six Trainer of the Year awards. Last December she was at Social Saturday for a two-speaker session called Sales Is Service, and her half was about pricing. "Selling is not manipulation. It's advocacy." Price by the hour and you ask a client to evaluate your time. Price by impact and you ask them to evaluate the outcome, and only one of those conversations is winnable. She also took apart the idea that charging less is the more generous choice. The women she was talking to want to hire developers and fund scholarships, and all of that takes revenue. On what women already bring to sales, "We know how to talk to people. We know how to ask questions. We know how to listen. What we bring to the table is priceless."

CREATE Conference 2026 is three days in Salt Lake City built for women in AI leadership β€” October 16–18. Strategy, hands-on sessions, and peers who understand the challenges you're facing. Gather with us →
