Did you read my message about imposter syndrome last week? It was kind of long. I have a lot to say on the topic.
About the time you might have been doing so, I was at the CREATE Conference with BRILLIANT women in AI, many of whom were thinking they didn't quite belong there....surely everyone else is WAY smarter, we all thought.
Sound familiar?
But props to us: we did it scared. We thought we'd be found out....ah-ha! Now we know she's an imposter! Off with her head!
We worried that we might be unimpressive in a room full of impressive women. In advance, we wanted to protect ourselves from feeling less than. But we showed up anyway.
It turns out we're all going through the same stuff. AI is intimidating, joyous, promising, terrifying, and indeed, this moment is asking a lot of us. We are to harness all our lived experiences, the wisdom of the ages, decades of subject matter expertise, and a suite of AI skills that hardly anyone we know even understands.
That's why She Leads AI is here - we're a space for practicing showing up as your whole self, even when you're not quite sure you belong (you do!).
