Hosting Zoom events to teach what I was learning about AI was the first big step. Over a few months, hundreds of people had shown up.....and then went back to organizations with zero AI policies.
That didn't seem like a good idea. So I started helping orgs with AI governance.
(This sounds linear. It wasn't.)
I also launched a live show, a podcast, hosted regular virtual events, and even an in-person conference.

The whole time, I was looking for other women doing this work so I could learn from them.
I needed someone to tell me:
How do I talk about myself now?
What do I say I actually do?
Why would anyone want to pay ME for that?
What do I charge?
How do I run an AI readiness assessment?
Deal with the know-it-all guy in my webinar?
Write an SOW?
I pieced it together from everywhere: my gut, expensive coaching programs, too many podcasts, fabulous communities of practice, BRILLIANT women, She Leads Reads, LinkedIn, business mentors, Audible, paid communities, so so so much coffee, and sooooo many learning opportunities.
And three years later, I've found my Ikegai in AI.
My whole life I've been the "there's gotta be a better way" person.
So I built something so you don't have to second-guess yourself every step of the way...or do ALL THE THINGS like I did.....or lose so much sleep! Beyond Efficiency: The Human Capacities AI Can Strengthen

We’ve spent years talking about AI in the language of optimization: faster processes, lighter workloads, improved efficiency. Useful, yes. But entirely too small. When intelligence becomes abundant, the more interesting question becomes: What new capacities in us can it reveal, stretch, or refine?
AI can help us practice difficult conversations before they happen to steady our emotions. It can show us the patterns our minds overlook, the biases we inherited without noticing, and the creative paths we were too cautious to imagine. It can serve as a philosophical companion, challenging our certainty and widening our thinking. It can even help us sense the downstream consequences of decisions long before they arrive at someone’s doorstep.
Used with intention, AI becomes a space for infrastructure for inner development. Courage, perspective-taking, creative growth and exploration. It reflects possibilities beyond the grooves of our habitual thinking.
Efficiency is practical. Expansion is transformative.
And the leaders who learn to use AI for expansion will be the ones shaping futures worthy of the people who will live inside them.
