Hi Reader,
I’ve been thinking about Mr. K’s classroom.
Not because of the size—just 40 kids per grade, in a rural school that serves fewer students than most high-rise apartments—but because of the clarity. When Matthew Karabinos (aka Mr. K) joined us on The AI Readiness Project last week, he wasn’t hand-wringing over the pace of AI. He was teaching logic. Perspective. Voice.
It’s easy to think of AI readiness as a tech skill. Something we check off, like learning Excel or joining another Slack. But what Matthew reminded me—and maybe reminds all of us—is that readiness starts with asking better questions. Questions about what’s good, what’s enough, what’s ours. Questions that wake up our own point of view.
“The more you can make what you put in the prompt about you,” he said, “the stronger it becomes.”
AI doesn’t make your voice. It reflects it. And if we want to use these tools with care, with power, and with purpose, then the first input is still the most human one: clarity of thought.

"Lots of fun ways to use AI this week. But my two favorite were new experiments: keynote coach/script prep and guest speaker host prep. Why? These two show the augmentation power of AI. What I'm prioritizing in both is clarity of communication and alignment of purpose so that the in-person moments are clear, effective, and relevant. How have you used AI this week?"
